Studio Events
I love my studio. One of the beauties of living in Los Angeles is the ability to have an outdoor space. I would not have the quality of life that nurtures my creative spirit living virtually anywhere else. I have two gazebos that allow for covered space and are perfect for all types of projects, workshops and open lab hours. The space is filled with tools that include a water saw, a dremel, metal saw, nippers, thin set, grout, epoxy, etc… There are shelves full of plates, platters, teapots, mugs, and fabulous whimsical figurines of all types and sizes. It’s a fun and inspiring place to visit, take a workshop, or work on your own project. The back wall is covered with the large mosaic mural called “Joy”.

Upcoming Two-day Workshop
Workshops are taught by Vicky Foxworth and Jose Reyes
December 7-8, 2024 (one slot available)
Hours: Saturday, December 7 9:30-4:30
Sunday, December 8 12:00-4:00
In this two-day workshop we will mosaic a 12 x 12 inch stepping stone
Note: Workshops are two days because the “glue”/thin set must dry overnight before you can grout your piece
Location: Foxworth Studio, 6024 Wooster Ave., LA 90056
Cost: $165 plus $25 materials fee

Agenda, Day One
Introductions, overview of making mosaic art (bases, materials, tools, glues, safety, etc.), design considerations, design your piece, “glue” your piece
Agenda, Day Two
Learn how to grout, decide on grout color, mix grout and colors, grout, seal your piece

Open Studio Hours
Open studio hours will be offered 3 to 4 days per year from 10:30am to 4:30pm . Dates TBD. Studio hours will include use of tools, and a comfortable, creative space in which you can work on your project. Studio hours will only be available to those who have intermediate skills, are already working on a project and will need some input, but are fairly independent. There will be an hourly fee.
